Multi BAFTA nominated Manchester By The Sea, starring standout performances by Casey Affleck and Michelle Williams, was released during the busy Awards corridor so it was important to focus on maintaining a strong share of voice and ensuring the film matched the perceived scale of its competitors.
Our campaign strategy focused on engaging the target audience of upmarket film fans by conveying the key themes of the film, maximising our budget across a concise campaign whilst still sustaining through to the Awards as well as creating a sense of scale for the release. Campaign highlights include multiple peak C4 spots such as 8 Out of 10 Cats, a strong London Underground campaign, bookends in both the Metro and Evening Standard and an IMDb wrap targeting other Awards contenders. The film opened to a really strong screen average of over £4,000.
