  • Google has launched a service aimed at helping house-hunters, in a move that could have ramifications for popular online services like Rightmove and FindaProperty.com. The search giant has linked with estate agents to show locations of properties for sale or rent on its Google Maps service. The feature is aimed at helping consumers find properties in specific locations. >>
  • Twitter has launched a one-click facility to add location data to tweets called Twitter Places, which comes with Foursquare and Gowalla integration. Twitter Places is being rolled out over the coming week to users across 65 countries and Twitter has trumpeted the service via its blog.
  • AOL has confirmed it has sold its social network Bebo to US-based venture capital firm Criterion Capital Partners, which plans to close Bebo's UK office. AOL bought the social networking site for $850m in March 2008 but is reported to have sold it for $10m.
